Yes, I tried and there were no changes.
Something I noticed is the fact that when blitting image data, the
display is completely fuzzy, as if we were blitting random memory
location but when blitting font data, the display is wrong but the
exepected font color is the only one present in the blitted surface.

The pixels are messed up but the color is here.
Something else, when I was running this example, I switched to another
vt and I had the string displayed "properly" on my screen. It was
zoomed, colors were wrong and it was mixed with my text console display
but it was readable.
I noticed the same thing with image data blits.
I don't know how to interpret those facts but I give them to you :)
