Hi, I am currently building a directfb module containing directvnc for the SLAX 5.0.5 mini distribution (www.slax.org). Using directfb from cvs, I can modprobe radeonfb and it switches to 1400x1024x16, which is fine with me. Fbset -i confirms that this mode is set, and the text is nice and small, but dfbdump tells me that my only available layer is set to 640x480x16, and that's what directvnc uses! I can set a different layer mode with dfblayer, but everything I do is utterly ignored by dfbdump and directvnc.
