Hi Denis,
We are using the kernel version linux-2.4.20-8. We have downloaded the DirectFB
package from the DirectFB site. We are able to run single application
successfully. But we are facing some problems while running the applications
with –enable-multi option
enabled. When we run the application say for e.g. df_window it displays us the
following errors – ----------------------
DirectFB v0.9.22 ---------------------
(c) 2000-2002 convergence integrated media GmbH
(c) 2002-2004 convergence
GmbH
----------------------------------------------------------- (*) DirectFB/Core: Multi Application Core.
(2005-10-03 09:29) (*) Direct/Memcpy: Using MMXEXT optimized
memcpy() (!) Fusion/Init: opening '/dev/fusion/0'
failed! --> No such device df_window.c <37>:
(#) DirectFBError [DirectFBCreate (&dfb)]: Fusion IPC error detected! We have applied the patch
fusion-full-linux-2.4.22.patch. We selected the fusion module option in the
make menuconfig of the kernel. We compiled the kernel successfully. We made the
/usr/include/linux to point to the newly patched kernel. Then we configured the
directfb for running multiple applications, compiled and installed. We created nodes under /dev/fusion like 0 1
2 etc… Then what else settings we have to do? Are
the steps done till now, ok? Can you please help us out in getting rid of this
problem?
