Hello,
So I'm very close to done. I have however a question regarding locales
and such. My application was developed and tested on a RHEL 3 clone
system (full glibc/locales). I had two systems, one of them could
display characters with accents, and the other didn't. When moving to
the target system, everything was built against uclibc. Which also now
doesn't seem to display these special characters.

The application is split into 2 parts. There is a web front end which
runs off of apache/php/mysql allowing the client to update/change what
the DirectFB application displays. On all three systems (target & dev)
the accented characters show fine on the web side of things.

This leads me to believe it has something to do with retrieving the data
from mysql. I checked all three systems all three have the same charset
(latin1). However only the one works. I'm wondering if anyone knows why,
where I should go to read up on this etc... I'm wondering if it is a
setting when I compile DirectFB or what it has to do with. Just a little
stumped...
