Hi, I’ve a fedora 4 with kernel 2.6.13 i’m
always trying to find the best GFX card for movies and TV playback on a Tv set. I planed to use df_xine with vdr because I don’t
want to launch X. Reading throught the mailing list message and the
website documentation it seems that the matrox G400 are the best videocard for directfb. I have now a G400 dual head, I ‘ve successfully
installed the card on the AGP port in my mother board. I’ve connected the
dedicated tvout wire to the vga-out 2 of the G400 and pluged the S-VIDEO in my
tv set. During all the boot phase there is no output on the
tv. Then when I launch my script to initialise the matroxfb and to launch
df_xine there is only garbage display on the tv. Of course I’ve connected a CRT monitor to the
vga-1 output of the G400, and the ouput is OK. Here is the script I used to test my tv configuration modprobe i2c-matroxfb modprobe matroxfb_Ti3026 modprobe matroxfb_crtc2 modprobe matroxfb_maven matroxset -f /dev/fb1 -m 0 matroxset -f /dev/fb0 -m 3 matroxset 1 alsactl -f /root/asound.state restore df_xine http://127.0.0.1:3000/98#demux:mpeg-ts Thanks, Marc |
