I'm sure this is a simple question but since I am new to linux, the
answer is not apparent. I am using Debian and installed the libjpeg62
and libpng3 packages. I confirmed they are in the /usr/lib directory.
When I run ./configure, it complains that it can't find them. It seems
like it is looking in the /usr/local/lib directory. I looked for a way
to tell configure to look in /usr/lib but it isn't apparent how to do
that. How can I fix this so I can configure and make with jpeg and png?
