Hi, I'm trying to setup my box with a Monitor and a TV working at the same time. I would to have Xdirectfb runnig in the monitor while I'm using the TV-out for freevo/mplayer output. I have the XDirectfb working fine with the xfce4 wm in my monitor, and I can watch videos in the TV-out with the mplayer using the -vo dfmga option.
But I can't do it at the same time !!!
If I start the XDirectfb and try to start mplayer, the output keep waiting with this terminal output:
     ---------------------- DirectFB v0.9.22 ---------------------
           (c) 2000-2002 convergence integrated media GmbH
           (c) 2002-2004 convergence GmbH
      -----------------------------------------------------------

(*) DirectFB/Core: Multi Application Core. (2005-12-15 23:39)
(*) Direct/Memcpy: Using libc memcpy()

My directfbrc:
no-debug
matrox-crtc2
matrox-tv-standard=pal
matrox-cable-type=composite
primary-layer=2

I start Xdirectfb with -displaylayer 2 to be able to see it in the monitor.

Please, any suggestions ???

I don't know why it hangs, but please try without "primary-layer" option
and without "-displayLayer" option.

I delete the primary-layer from directfbrc and -displayLayer from dfbserverrc, and startxdfb brings me a better X than before, because before the screen blinks constantly drawing the screen when dragging windows. Now X are fast and crisp (thanks a lot !!! ) But .... when I try to launch a mplayer in a terminal the same behavior occurs ....

    ---------------------- DirectFB v0.9.22 ---------------------
          (c) 2000-2002 convergence integrated media GmbH
          (c) 2002-2004 convergence GmbH

(*) Direct/Memcpy: Using linux kernel memcpy()

Rigth now it's using linux kernel memcpy and before they use libc memcpy....who knows...

I try to launch mplayer with -vo dfbmga:crtc2 and a few more combinations with no luck at all.

Where do you think that I can follow to check or try ???

Thanks in advance for your replies !!!
