My current setup consists of a Dell laptop with a 2.4GHz Mobile Pentium 4, Intel 852GM Integrated Graphics, and 1 GB DDR 400 which I have recently installed Qingy on. I have vesafb-tng compiled into my kernel, with a default resolution of 1024x768-60 hz. My base install consists of GCC 3.4.4 with the latest stable Gentoo kernel, 2.6.14-r5.

My problem is that Qingy appears to be "stuck" at 800x600. I have read the FAQ on http://qingy.sourceforge.net/ and have tried copying the output of "fbset" into the file /etc/fb.modes. I have also tried setting the resolution in /etc/directfbrc (mode=1024x768), with no success.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why Qingy, and ultimately DirectFB, will not let me set the resolution to 1024x768?
Thanks
Mike
