Hi list!

I am having problems with the linux-viafb module. I checked out the
source from CVS, compiled it and did insmod viafb.ko. The module gets
inserted allright, but the screen goes black or gets filled with
"garbage". If i SSH into the machine and do fbset -i i get this:
-----
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# fbset -i

mode "720x576-74"
    # D: 41.475 MHz, H: 44.693 kHz, V: 74.488 Hz

endmode

This is what i get from dmesg:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# dmesg|grep via
via-rhine.c:v1.10-LK1.4.1 July-24-2006 Written by Donald Becker
viafb: VIA UNICHROME framebuffer 1.0 initializing

So everything everything seems to be in order. I am doing this on an Via
EPIA M1000G under Fedora core 5. I have tried several modes with fbset,
nothing works. Does anyone have a clue what might be the problem?
