Is it possible to use the cle266 onchip mpeg-decoder (VIA EPIA) in
combination with an external graphics card under DirectFB? That is, i
want to use the mpeg-decoder but i want to shoot the picture out from my
g450 card instead of using the onboard unichrome fb. Thanks in advance!
Don't see why not. You'll be faced with a slow copy of the decoded frames out of the CLE266's video memory though. You'll need libcle266mpegdec from http://cle266mpegdec.sf.net. You don't necessarily need to involve DirectFB with the CLE266 side at all if you don't want to -- you could allocate the video memory for the decoder in your own way. You still need a framebuffer device for the CLE266 though.
