I think I have progressed to the point of patching, compiling
kernel/directfb/mplayer,
and now trying for the first time to get something up on the TV (2nd
head=/dev/df1).
I have modprobed the following in: i2c_matroxfb, matroxfb_maven,
matroxfb_crtc2, and fusion.
dfbinfo does "flash the TV" when it runs, but the dfbinfo output seems to show
no TV information.
I have included the various outputs and logs, and would appreciate any help as
to what I
should be trying next.
