Hi Kaushik,

I'd be grateful for any help with live video I can get.

I have video playing on a surface, but it's just snow,
apparently because the app is not using the Composite1/NTSC
input/norm coming from my camera (a video4linux2 device).

Anyway, my efforts to change the input/norm settings via
ioctl from within my app don't seem to have any effect. I
found the following post from about a year and a half ago
that seems to indicate that changing v4l2 params is a lost
cause without changing source and recompiling the DirectFB
library itself:

http://mail.directfb.org/pipermail/directfb-users/2005-May/000227.html

If there's a way to tweak v4l2 parameters from within the
app so that directfb reads in the live video stream
correctly, I'd be grateful for any pointers or code
examples. Or even just having a confirmation that
recompiling the directfb library source is necessary would
be very helpful.

I do very much look forward to any working code examples
you're willing to post.

Regards,

JT
