Denis, Openembedded allows you to build an entire embedded Linux filesystem and kernel with only a couple of commands. It has hundreds of packages to choose from and directFB is one of them. OE also supports many boards and handhelds off the shelf. It uses IPKG which is a light weight version of apt so you can, with similar commands to apt, so you can have a repository for your embedded product to install packages on the fly. Regards, Shane
