Matt, I built DirectFB for OS X once - on my desktop. But when I attempted what I thought were the same exact sequences on my laptop it failed.
I DON'T have SDL on my desktop... nor have I continued to explore why it didn't work on my laptop (BTW, I wrote the instructions on how to build for OS X on the WIKI - just haven't had time to attempt to revise them). A previous email from the guy who ported it said he would look into it again. But I have no idea where he stands on it.
