I'm trying to run VDR(1.4.2)/Softdevice(0.3.1) with DirectFB(V1RC4)/DFB++ on my linux kernel 2.6.18 with VIAFB driver (this is daves domain driver 0.1.2bfrom http://davesdomain.org.uk/viafb/index.php)
I suggest you ask on the Softdevice mailing list but I've a feeling you only need update to the latest version of softdevice (older versions apparently request a pixel format of ARGB for the graphics plane when used as an overlay -- this has never been supported but is now explicitly denied by the DirectFB driver). Why dfb detect CLE266 Layer and not CN400? is that the problem? No, that's just the layer name. I could change it to VIA Unichrome Graphics but that might break anything that's checking the layer name. Anyone think I should do it anyway? M.
