Thanks a lot for your feedback. I was able to use dfbdump but not fbset as it
is not part of my busybox.
I also found lots of info in /proc/driver/em8xxx... (or was it
/proc/device/em8xxx..)

'fbset -i' will show this, but if you're using busybox fbset it might
not work. Also this only tells the fbdev driver's view of the matter.
DirectFB's view might differ if you use the videoram-limit option.
