It is written in C. There are C++ wrappers for it, although I wrote my own (to hide the low level grunge from our apps team). Since it IS C the functions look a little odd - but you get used to it :) I would call it mature code. I have yet to see a failure that I could trace down to DirectFB. Most failures I have seen have been mistakes on the user side.
