Actually I was waiting for your response. I looked into the both headers and they seem quite different. I don't know how to deal with this FBIO_GET_TIMING error problem at all. I'm using Montavista kernel which is 2.6.10. I copied my_kernel_source/include/video/davincifb.h into the directfb davinci folder, that's all I did. I didn't tried with a new kernel, because in one of your posts you mentioned davinci driver works on Montavista kernel.
