Hi Shilpa Singh: I tryed to compile statically the gtk+dfb lib (GTK+-2.10.6) some time ago... My objetive was compile from scratch an static gtk-dfb /pango/cairo/atk/jpg/glib etc... (with all dependences) library I couldnt because there were a bug on gtk/gdk using dfb backend statically. You could read my old post and Attilio Fiandrotti on gtk page (he gave me a hand with this issue) http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gtk-devel-list/2007-February/msg00025.html The solution that he told me was build the gtk lib with the develop version (getlastversion/checkout from sources) but it didnt work for me...The only fast/easy solution was to install gtk-dfb-develop from debian 3.1r2...(If you try compile this library from the installed sources package you will get the compile error again -- but I dont understand why the library is there with broken sources)
