Hi, I'm using a Matrox G450 card with vdr using softdevice. The card is connected to a CRT TV through crtc2.
The DirectFB source contains the kernel patches: matroxfb-full-memory-linux-2.4.21-rc2.patch.bz2 matroxfb-g400-clock-2.4.22.patch.bz2 matroxfb-vsync-irq-2.4.21-pre6.patch.bz2 Are these patches now in a current vanilla kernel? The full-memory patch didn't seem to be (I added it by hand). It wasn't as easy to tell with the others because the kernel driver seems to have been rewritten quite a bit since 2.4.21! I was until recently using a 2.6.14.3 kernel (can't remember if I patched that or not!). Now I've upgraded to a 2.6.24.4 kernel, I'm pretty sure that the TV out isn't synched as well as it could be and the picture jumps every few seconds or so. Maybe it did that with the previous kernel I was using and I've convinced myself otherwise! My /etc/directfbrc contains: no-debug matrox-crtc2 matrox-tv-standard=pal primary-layer=2 mode=720x576 depth=32 pixelformat=ARGB matrox-cable-type=scart-composite disable-module=lirc disable-module=joystick disable-module=keyboard disable-module=linux_input no-vt Cheers, Laz _______________________________________________ directfb-users mailing list directfb-users@directfb.org http://mail.directfb.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/directfb-users
