It is proving more and more difficult to explore DirectFB with just the reference. Currently i am stuck at creating a surface inside a window. I would greatly appreciate it if someone extended the tutorials to cover more concepts of DirectFB. Not everyone has had experience with other GUI libs to be able to guess the funtionality of DirectFB ;)
