It Is also rather useful when you have multiple framebuffers that you want 
listed as separate layers, this is quite common in embedded devices

Hi Harinandan,

devmem is the most basic system. If you will, it is a cut-back
function-stripped fbdev.
This means, that if you use devmem, you have to yourself:
- initialise/deinitialise the graphic display driver
- program the display functions and register them with dfb_layers_register
to get a working screen.
You might use devmem if you don't have a working linux fb implementation
for your device.
