Hi,

I installed the 1.2.6 as you suggested. But i had to follow the
-Unable-to-disallocate-VT fix at the page
http://blog.csdn.net/Analib/archive/2008/10/22/3124382.aspx to
overcome the error conditions running on directfb.

I am not sure whether this is a legal way but i encountered with many
people suffering from the same problem. Is there any official fix for
it?

With the change at the input.c file, links -driver directfb is working
now. I had to also create the directfbrc file under /etc and add these
lines to it. It was not installed after the installation.

mode=1280x1024
depth=24
mouse-source=/dev/input/mice
mouse-protocol=IMPS/2

I compiled the 1.2.6 source as follows:

./configure --prefix=/usr --mandir=/usr/share/man
--infodir=/usr/share/info --sysconfdir=/etc --enable-debug
-enable-zlib
