Hi all,

I'm new to DdirectFb and am still trying to get my head around not only the
API but also the terminology I guess.

I'm working on an embedded arm system using a frame buffer and the demo
programs work fine, so i have no issues with build or hardware.

 

What i am struggling with is creating multiple surfaces and rendering them.
I guess my questions are as follows:

 

1.       One of the demos flips to a primary surface directly, so do i need
to create really need to create a layer?

2.       My surfaces need to be stacked in a certain order e.g. from bottom
up; background, buttons, sliders, text. How do i order them?

3.       What method do i use to get the surfaces onto the visible screen,
Blit or Flip?

 

Sorry for being the noob, just need a nudge in the right direction.
