Hi,

I am a newbie in Linux graphics. I am in need of implementing hardware accelerated stretch blit and alpha blend functionalities on intel GMA-HD based platforms. It was understood that if I use Mesa3d and DRI , I would be able to perform hardware accelerated graphics operations from an OpenGL application. But the problem here is I am not permitted to use 'startX' command. Without 'startX', the OpenGL applications
fails.

It is in this situation that I came across DirectFBGL. Is it possible to use DirecrFBGL for intel GMA-HD platforms? In some links, I observed that DirectFBGL is for Mesa-Embedded-2 branch, which supports only Matrox cards? Is my observation correct? Can anybody please suggest me how I can use the Mesa3d and DRI hardware acceleration without X windows?

Thanks in advance
Sudeep
