Hi, I am new to Linux and DirectFB - so bear with me. There is a lot of information out there, but I am having difficulty sifting through it to get the right information, I hope someone with experience can help.
I have to try to create an application that uses DirectFB which will target a small display that we currently do not have. I am trying to decide which LCD panel and resolution to choose by displaying some example GUI images. The display is likely to be 1-bit monochrome. I expect to work on a virtual display buffer and somehow dump the display from there so that I can view it. I think I will create a driver for the new virtual display, then create a /dev/fb based on this driver, then use this within the application. Not sure how this will be done :( Any help would be appreciated.
