I did indeed, I use cron to run the command - the problem reoccurred
with last nights backups:

/backup/helios# du -csh 2*
23G 20070226
23G 20070227
23G 20070301
18M 20070302
20M 20070303
21M 20070304
31M 20070305
17G 20070306
84G total

/backup/selene# du -csh 2*
29G 20070227
29G 20070301
20K 20070302
20K 20070303
20K 20070304
36K 20070305
25G 20070306
82G total

Would it help to put logfiles somewhere for public consumption? There is
nothing unusual about the target machines, they're both running debian
sarge with a fairly standard setup running apache2/mysql.

Thanks
