Just to be clear, are you saying the problem also happens on Debian
Sid and Lenny? Have you tried etch?

What kernel? Have you searched the web for problems with iscsi? I
don't have iscsi devices so I can't report anything.

What does the kernel oops messages say?

I've had many problems with SMB/CIFS file shares. Are you using smbfs
or cifs (as in cifs.ko kernel module) to mount the cifs shares?
There's a big difference between the two.
