Hi all,

in the last weeks & months the mailing list and chat has been busier than usual
with new students getting their feet wet
with GNU Radio and the community.

As officially announced by the GSoC program - we have been assigned four slots
and therefore we are able to welcome four new students
for a Summer of Code project in GNU Radio. The following projects have been
selected after careful consideration within the group of
current and former GNU Radio GSoC mentors and admins:

- 5G CELL SCANNER by <Aaditya/>
- GNU Radio FT8/WSPR OOT Module by Daniel Paul
- Expanding the GNU Radio 4.0 Block Set by KrishGupta
- FM Broadcast Radio application by StudHamza

Please don’t be upset if your proposal was not selected for this GSoC - we have
limited capacity of mentors and received many proposals of high quality.
We did not take our decision lightly.

For the next three weeks we have the GSoC “Community Bonding Period” - please
help us guide the students and welcome them to the community.
No question is too stupid to ask, stay calm and in case of any issues please
reach out to members of the GNU Radio project.

Cheers,
Andrej

P.S. the corresponding mentors should reach out to their students soon(ish) -
or it might have already happened.
