This is not true. I would guesstimate that at least for the developers I'm familiar with, that the usage is something like 50/50 between Ubuntu and Fedora. FWIW, I primarily use Fedora. We like having people using multiple distributions. It helps us keep our code clean. There are currently binary packages available for Ubuntu, and not yet for Fedora. For non-developers, this makes an install on Ubuntu easier.
