Yes, because the XCVR2450 is highly integrated, its phase noise will not be as good as the RFX2400. I don't think it is quite 20dB worse, but maybe 10-15 dB.

I've had quite a few problems which I think are caused by poor phase noise on the XCVR2450 -- it's an all in one chip with a local oscillator on board etc - the 2400 appears quite a bit better (20dB if I remember correctly!)

The schematics are in an odd place for this board - I could only find a link under the USRP1 page http://gnuradio.org/trac/attachment/wiki/USRP/xcvr2450_rev1.1.pdf

    Dear All,

I would like to learn the noise floor of a receiver which uses USRP,
    XCVR2450 and VERT2450.
Namely, when usrp_fft.py is run with no incoming signal present in
an indoor environment, what is the expected noise level?
    Thanks in advance.
