Ka-band low-noise block downconverters (LNB) and block upconverters (BUC) are available from several manufacturers. Most of these convert signals to/from L-band (1-2GHz), which can be accessed with the WBX. You can find them on eBay sometimes for "cheap". HughesNet uses Ka-band at 19.7-20.2GHz so you can find used LNBs for under $20 on eBay. BUCs tend to be much more expensive. > > > Could existing boards be used with some modifications to access 50Mhz > of bandwidth in the Ka-band? Accessing 50MHz of bandwidth simultaneously is possible with a USRP2 using 8-bit samples. --n > > > > > Andrew > _______________________________________________ > Discuss-gnuradio mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss-gnuradio _______________________________________________ Discuss-gnuradio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss-gnuradio
