For those folks who keep track of new hardware devices that could be
amenable to building SDR systems, Cypress Semi has finally publicly
announced their USB 3.0 FX3 SuperSpeed USB controller:

This controller provides the same sort of GPIF interface as used on the
original USRP1 to provide a digital data path up to a USB 3.0 SuperSpeed
host device (i.e., a PC). Real-world sustained data rates for USB 3.0
SuperSpeed devices have been hitting close to 300 MB/sec (and that is before
you get into the new bulk streaming mode). Could make for a very
interesting multi-transmit/multi-receive system (assuming you've got a PC
that can actually do something with that much data coming in, which is still
a big challenge).
