I used verbose twice. First time i used it on your advice and it
showed following error:

Exiting Gnu Radio build/install
On Second instance it didnot proceed beyond 38% and there was no
progress for a lot of time. The computer became very much slow so then
I had to restart it.
The RAM of my system is 512 MB and there is around 10GB free disk space.

Hi,
I tried to install gnuradio on fedora 17 following the
instructions at gnu.org. I tried using build-gnuradio install
script but it gave "make failed" error at the end. Then I tried
using yum install gnuradio but i again failed. Then I used
./build-gnuradio --verbose command but i again failed to install it.
Now i want to rebuild it but before that do i need to delete some
files or use some uninstall commands.
Please suggest
Regards

When you used --verbose what errors were in the log--that will
help us determine why your build failed.

It's entirely possible that an interior compile stage is running out of
memory, and bailing half-way through creating a .o, which the linker then
trips over.
My advice? I'm suspecting that with only 512MB, your computer is fairly
old, and definitely under-powered if it can't reliably compile the
code base. Upgrade.
Lots and lots of people have successfully built Gnu Radio on Fedora 17
with build-gnuradio, so there's likely nothing wrong with the build
script as such.
