Hi there, I had to to do
sudo install_name_tool -change /System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/Python /opt/local/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/Python /opt/local/lib/python2.7/site-packages/rds/_rds_swig.so in order to point to the right python. Now it works for me!
