Hello,
this was definitely caused by the profile being on a network drive. I tried again with a local user and a local profile and now I get the problem that is described here:
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/gnustep-dev/2004-07/msg00050.html
The behaviour is exactly the same.
I'm experiencing the same problem.
Using the installer on a WinXP SP1 with precompiled binaries, on a FAT32 filesystem.
When trying any app, gndc complains...
[EMAIL PROTECTED] /c/GNUstep/Test/GConnectFour # opentool gdnc The file 'c:\GNUstep\System\.GNUsteprc' is writable by someone other than its owner. Ignoring it. The file 'c:\GNUstep\System\.GNUsteprc' is writable by someone other than its owner. Ignoring it. [EMAIL PROTECTED] /c/GNUstep/Test/GConnectFour #
and about 20 seconds later,
2005-02-25 23:09:31.000 gdnc.exe[676] Disallowed time zone name `Hora est. de Sudamrica E.'. 2005-02-25 23:09:31.000 gdnc.exe[676] Using time zone with absolute offset 0. 2005-02-25 23:09:31.000 gdnc.exe[676] gdnc - unable to register with name server as GDNCServer - quiting. The file 'c:\GNUstep\System\.GNUsteprc' is writable by someone other than its owner. Ignoring it. The file 'c:\GNUstep\System\.GNUsteprc' is writable by someone other than its owner. Ignoring it.
Any pointers?
BTW: Some apps are able to show a dialog with an exception. This is my first time seeing gui on windows, so I'm more than happy with just that. :)
Regards, ///Pablo
