Just curious, sometimes ago, SOPE does not work well with UTF-8 though I'm not sure about XMLRPC part. Is this situation changed/improved? I haven't followed SOPE development currently. My previous memory on SOPE was good except for this part.
I don't know, SOPE deployments "usually" have UTF-8 issues because they are based on libFoundation which has incomplete Unicode support. It shouldn't really matter if you run it on gstep-base or Cocoa Foundation.
There is also a default called WOMessageUseUTF8 which you probably want to use.
The one thing I know which also has UTF-8 issues is the sope-gdl1 PostgreSQL adaptor.
