After looking at the attached rtf and doing some research, it looks
like the encoding is "Mac OS Roman" (cpg1000):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Code_page_10000
and not unicode.
That might be. The point is there is no way to influence this. You can
set the wanted encoding for plain text files in TextEdit.app
preferences but not the encoding that is used for the rtf stream. The
problem remains that files written on the Mac cannot be opened under
GNUstep and vice-versa which renders all rtf-related code useless. :-(
Am I missing anything?
