Hi Enrico,
I have adopted the StarOffice.app wrapper (actually changed the path
to
/usr/staroffice7/program/soffice). I can now open StarOffice with
openapp StarOffice.app
However, I have no chance to drag the icon into the dock.The icon
appears
only for a second during startup of the application. Then it
disappears. We
are using the latest WindowMaker from blastwave.
Any ideas what's wrong?

Do you mean the WindowMaker dock or the GWorkspace dock? If it's the
GWorkspace dock I think that you must only run make_services and
restart GWorkspace.
No, I mean WindowMaker Dock. GWorkspace never did work for us (on
Solaris).
I have run make_services, logged out and in again!?
