I general don't use an office suite- I use Emacs and Muse-mode: http://www.mwolson.org/projects/EmacsMuse.html for my word processing needs. However, I suggest you upgrade to OpenOffice (Open Sourced StarOffice): http://www.openoffice.org/ It is actually better and faster than the old StarOffice.
