If you guys want, that's one of he reasons why I create those Slackware
packages.  I have both stable and unstable branches in here.  The unstable
is only the libraries, nothing else, so will allow you to build whatever you
want on it.  Even though Slackware is probably not the easiest distro to
work with for this situation, it might be easier than other options (such as
building everything yourself).  Using the SLAX scripts (I think they're
called linux-live) it would be easy to create a live CD too.

Just throwing that out there.  I can try helping with the live CD, but I'm
not sure I'll have time since I just accepted a job which requires me to
move to a different state by the end of Feb and I'll be running around quite
a bit.
