The actual error is:
2008-10-05 22:37:10.837 GWorkspace[3288] X-Windows error - BadWindow

          on display: :0.0
                type: 0
       serial number: 4653
        request code: 3

Followed by:
2008-10-05 22:37:10.888 GWorkspace[3288] Ignore left offset change from 1 to
-1215624192
(This one repeats once for every corder, left, right, top, bottom)

Then again, some more:
2008-10-05 22:37:10.892 GWorkspace[3288] Reparent was with offset 0 24
2008-10-05 22:37:10.893 GWorkspace[3288] Parent border,width,height
