I just got back from FOSDEM this afternoon. The weekend was tiring,
but a lot of fun and quite productive.
I might write something more detailed about it tomorrow, but now I'd
like to thank everyone who attended, and most particularly to thank
Lars Sonchocky-Helldorf who provided the impetus to get everything
going and really organised us all, even doing an extra last-minute
presentation on Sunday afternoon to fill the last empty slot on our
schedule.
Also thanks, to David Chisnall who was not able to get there, but did
a surprisingly effective presentation over video link. Next year we
must organise amplifier and speakers as the sound output of a laptop
is not really sufficient (though we did have an astonishingly quiet
room as everyone listened to 'pragmatic smalltalk').
