I don't think there is a good way to implement any sort of Cocoa clone from 
just tinkering with other people's code and trying to compile it; there's just 
too much of it. So I guess most GNUstep developers have read either headers or 
the Apple documentation at one point or another. I mean, you need to know how 
to develop a Cocoa/NeXTStep/GNUstep app first to be able to work on GNUstep, 
and how do you become good at it without looking at what NeXT/Apple did?
