An open source Core Animation would be pretty amazing, and with that and the other frameworks, Chameleon should be able to run! That'd be pretty impressive! Chameleon is all under a BSD license which is far more permissive than GPL, and that's the way I like it. I personally dislike the GPL and find it too restrictive. I understand the goals, but I don't agree it's necessary to strong-arm people into sharing. Chameleon has now had several contributions from a number of others and I suspect they would also all have to agree to dual license their contributions. While not an insurmountable problem, I have no interest in doing it.
