Yes, Mac OS X seems to prefer the large monolithic behemoth app approach to 
software writing, like Windows and everything else that went before NeXTstep, 
rather than building everything out of inter-operable interchangeable 
components. Another great piece of NeXT technology that was mostly killed off 
by Mac OS X.

Another one I miss is the -NXHost command-line option.

Any others that come to mind?
