The easiest solution would be to run the following command:
gcc `gnustep-config --base-libs` hello world.m

That week get you what you need very quickly. However, once you move away from 
anything more complex than below world, you'll probably want to use a 
magnetite.  GNUstep makes it fairly trivial. Have a look at 
http://www.gnustep.org/resources/documentation/Developer/Make/Manual/gnustep-make.html
 and http://www.gnustep.it/nicola/Tutorials/WritingMakefiles/

Those 2 links will get you started.
