can't say why but but since ivan's script doesn't run a make install after building llvm/clang, even if tweaking my LD_LIBRARY_PATH any attempt at running cmake abort...
Then simply running sudo -E make install + making paths to point to /usr/local/lib & /usr/local/bin solved the problem!
