Ever looked at https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/X11:GNUstep ? That is about what you want to build or at least a very good starting point for it. You didn’t know that GNUstep is already on OBS? That just shows the main issue we have. People, even the one interested in GNUstep, are not aware of what is already there.
