The program make_services is in the unlucky situation of being the first Objective-C program that is executed on your system. If you run the tests of base (make check) you would be getting similar errors a bit earlier. I still would prefer to better understand your setup before going into detailed analysis here. An as this involves a non standard architecture it would be great to get David and Riccardo involved as they know a lot more about GNUstep and clang on PowerPC.
